APBioNet Nominations and Elections

  • Nominations Announcement

    Nominations for President, Vice President and Committee Members of the ExCo for the term of 2005-2006 are open till 21 July 2005 2359h GMT+0800h. Among other things, the elected ExCo is expected to be involved in various APBioNet activities, including the drafting of the APBioNet constitution and submission to the membership for adoption.

  • Election Procedure
    • Details of the election procedure will be emailed to all members who are to cast their e-ballots promptly by 31st Aug 2005.

      On 22nd July, the Election Officer will send out a ballot to all members for them to vote for the people they want to get into the ExCo. with instructions on how to vote for them.

      Electors will email the voting ballot back to elect __at__ apbionet.org. containing the list of people they are voting for.

    • Verification will be by email. The Election Officer will then send them back a confirmation to their email address with a code, asking them to reply to count __at__ apbionet.org.

      If the email address and the code match, the vote counters (including Election Officers and Election Observers) will confirm the voting ballot and count the vote.

    • The results will be verified and the results publicised shortly after ballot closing on 31st August 2005.

    2. Volunteers are called to come forward (email to nominate __at__ apbionet.org) to serve as witnesses for ballot counting. They must not be running for elections.
